GC and ALPLA establish ENVICCO Ltd., Thailand’s first joint-venture high-quality circular plastic resin plant

Dr. Piyasvasti Amranand, Chairman of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, or GC, presided over the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between GC and ALPLA, a world-class manufacturer of high-quality recycling plastic resins, to establish a joint venture to be called ENVICCO Limited, at the Asia Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong province. Together with Dr. Amranand was GC’s executive team led by Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Chief Executive Officer and President; Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Operating Officer-Upstream Petrochemical Business; Mr. Patiphan Sukhonthaman, Chief Operating Officer of Downstream, and other executives who joined the ceremony which took place on September 4, 2019, at The St. Regis Bangkok.

The credit rating granting this time has reassessed the linkages between GPSC and its parent company, PTT (which is granted ‘AAA (tha)’ with Stable Outlook’) that is committed to provide support to GPSC to acquire GLOW.

Bangkok - WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) presses on with 4.88-MW solar carpark project installation, with a total area of 31,000 square meters, on the car park area of MG cars manufacturing plant owned by SAIC MOTOR-CP Co., Ltd. The largest solar carpark in Thailand, it is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2020 and to generate an average annual revenue of THB 20 million throughout the 20 year-contract.

In 2013 GPSC was established on January 10, 2013 through the amalgamation of PTT Utility Company Limited (PTTUT) and Independent Power (Thailand) Company Limited (IPT). Founded to be PTT Group’s Power Flagship, GPSC operates in operating, developing, and investing in power business domestically and internationally.
In 2018 GPSC signed an MOU with the Federation of Thai Industries(FTI), an advisor to Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) to support an expansionof the carbon footprint reduction program. GPSC has been selected as a pilot company to join such extension under the industrial sector collaboration in phase 7, 2018.
