Hisaka: Hisaka Signs MOU with Ngee Ann Polytechnic to Jointly Enhance Technology Development in Nanotechnology and Green Energy Technology

The Board of Directors of Hisaka Holdings Ltd. (the "Company") announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Hisaka (Singapore) Pte Ltd, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (the "MOU") with Ngee Ann Polytechnic ("NP") whereby the two organisations expressed interest to conduct a feasibility study in the following projects:

  1. Nanotechnology:
    1. To design or develop the single control box interface and graphic user interface ("GUI") for the FELA nano-precision stage;
  2. Green Energy Technology:
    1. To develop generic handler machine for solar cells work stations; and

PEC: PEC Ltd. Awarded Refinery Maintenance Service Contract From Singapore Refining Company

PEC Ltd. ("PEC", and together with its subsidiaries, associated companies and joint venture company, the "Group"), a homegrown plant and terminal engineering specialist which provides project works and maintenance services to the oil and gas, petrochemical, oil and chemical terminal and pharmaceutical industries in Asia and the Middle East, announced that it had signed a contract with Singapore Refining Company Private Limited ("SRC") to provide maintenance services for part of the SRC refinery located in Jurong Island.

Effective for three years beginning 1 April 2010, the contract includes provision of services including maintenance, plant shutdown and turnaround as well as minor in-house project works. FULL DETAIL Full Detail

Asian Property: AP plans 20 new residential projects

Listed developer Asian Property Development Plc (AP) plans to launch 20 residential projects worth a total of 30 billion baht in 2010, an increase on last year, prompted by an improved financial status.

AP would take advantage of its good cashflow to launch 15 low-rise projects and five condominiums in 2010, said Mr Pumipat Sinacharoen, deputy chief finance officer. "We've received a large amount of cash in the fourth quarter last year and the first quarter this year, mainly from unit transfers at seven condominium projects with about 3,000 units worth more than 10 billion baht," he said.
