Olam: Agrees To Acquire Crown Flour Mills Limited, A Leading Port-based Wheat Miller In Nigeria.

Olam International Limited announced that it has agreed to acquire 99.5% of the outstanding shares and voting rights in Crown Flour Mills Limited with its wheat milling and noodle manufacturing facilities along with accompanying additional assets for a total purchase consideration of US$107.6 million. CFM is amongst the three largest wheat millers in Nigeria, supplying bread flour, noodle flour and semolina to both industrial users and wholesalers in the country. The wheat milling operation includes two port-based milling facilities in Lagos and Warri with total installed capacity of 1,550 metric tonnes per day. SPH: Reports First Quarter Net Profit Of $145 Million.

Singapore Press Holdings Limited reported its results for the first quarter ended 30 November 2009. Recurring profit increased 24.7% to $159.4 million. The Group's investment income recovered from a loss of $33.7 million a year ago to a gain of $10.2 million this quarter. Yanlord Land Group Limited announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai Yanlord Property Co. Ltd together with its Singapore-based partner, Jing Hope Holdings Pte. Ltd have jointly acquired two adjacent land parcels with a total planned gross floor area of approximately 155,268 sqm in Hai Tang Bay, Sanya, Hainan province for RMB 2.11 billion in a public land auction. Ideally situated on the eastern ridges of Hainan's resort city Sanya, the two adjacent sites, No. 9 and No. 10 enjoy panoramic views of the Hai Tang Bay and its surrounding beaches. Ezra: Enters New Year On High Note, With PATMI Up 93% At US$18.4M For 1Q FY10.

Ezra Holdings Limited continues to deliver outstanding results, posting an 93% increase year-on-year in net attributable profit to US$18.4 million for its first quarter ended 30 November 2009. The Group also saw gross profit margins improve by 7 percentage points yoy to 32% from 25% previously. Ezra's revenue inched down to US$61.0 million because of the different completion stages for the engineering projects undertaken by the marine services division and different nature of projects undertaken by the deepwater subsea services arm.
