Petra Foods' New State-Of-The-Art Cocoa Processing Plant In Hamburg Starts Full Commercial Production

Petra Foods Limited ("Petra Foods" or the "Group"), one of the world's major manufacturers and suppliers of cocoa ingredients and branded consumer confectionery products, announced that its new state-of-the-art cocoa processing plant in Hamburg, Germany, has officially commenced full commercial production, after successfully completing trial productions which began in April 2009.

Mermaid Newbuild DP2 Dive Support Vessel 'Mermaid Asiana' Awarded Offshore Installation Job With CUEL In The Gulf Of Thailand

Mermaid Maritime Public Company Limited ("Mermaid") announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Mermaid Offshore Services Ltd. ("MOS"), a leading provider of sub-sea engineering services to the offshore oil and gas industry, has been awarded a contract with CUEL Limited ("CUEL"), one of the region's major Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning contractors, to provide saturation and air diving services supported by remotely operated vehicle ("ROV") intervention, all utilizing the newbuild DP2 Dive Support Vessel ("DSV") 'Mermaid Asiana' for CUEL's clients in the Gulf of Thailand. This contract, potentially worth an initial US$10 million, is part of the ongoing support Mermaid provides to CUEL in the Gulf of Thailand for CUEL's various clients since 2006.

Singapore-Listed Sapphire Raises Effective Stake In Steel Manufacturer To 51%, Marking A New Chapter With Steel And Vanadium Operations In PRC As New Core Business

Shareholders of Sapphire Corporation Limited ("Sapphire" or the "Group") have approved Sapphire's proposal to acquire a 56.85 per cent in Lucky Art Holdings Limited ("Lucky Art"), a special purpose vehicle which holds 70 per cent-stake in Neijiang Chuanwei Special Steel Co., Ltd ("Special Steel"), a leading hot-rolled steel coil ("HRC") producer based in Sichuan province, PRC.

This transaction will give Sapphire an additional indirect equity interests of 39.8 per cent stake in Special Steel. Together with Sapphire's existing 11.2 per cent indirect stake in Special Steel, this raises the combined interest of Sapphire in the latter to a controlling 51 per cent. The transaction will turn Singapore Exchange-listed Sapphire into a steel manufacturer focusing on HRC and vanadium products in the PRC.
