Netherlands Court Rules In Biosensors' Favor; Declines Injunction Request By Angiotech And Boston Scientific

Biosensors International Group, Ltd. has successfully defended against legal claims and defeated a request for an injunction request brought against it in the court in The Hague by Vancouver, BC-based Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc and Boston Scientific.

Multi-Fineline Eletronix net sales for the fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2005, increased by 66 percent to $139.7 million from $84.4 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2005. Net income for the fiscal first quarter of 2006 increased 82 percent to $17.3 million, or $0.69 per diluted share, compared to $9.5 million, or $0.38 per diluted share for the same period in Fiscal 2005.

Noble Group Buys China Soybean Plant

Noble Group Limited has reached an agreement to purchase an integrated soybean crushing and refining plant in the port of Qinzhou, Guangxi Autonomous Region, China, from Siping Hongzui Grease Limited. The plant will supply soybeanmeal and oil to customers in rapidly expanding markets in Southern and Central China.

The Qinzhou Dayang facility started operations in June 2005 and is located in the growing port of Qinzhou, capable of receiving and discharging panamex sized vessels. The purchase is expected to close in March 2006.

Sinwa Signs MOU With Longzhu For Joint Venture In Perth

Under the MOU, Sinwa will take a 51% stake in LS Offshore Services Pty Ltd with an investment of A$102,000. Longzhu will hold the remaining 49% in the joint venture company.

LS Offshore Services Pty Ltd will provide crew and manpower support, as well as the supply of equipment, general consumables and provisions to the offshore oil and gas industry in Australia.

ASL Marine Places Out 30 Million New Shares

ASL Marine Holdings Ltd. has entered into a placement agreement with Kim Eng Securities Pte. Ltd. to place out 30,000,000 new ordinary shares at $0.68 per share in response to demand from sophisticated investors and institutions.

This Placement will increase the existing issued and paid-up ordinary share capital of the Company by approximately 13.74%, from $21,828,000 comprising of 218,280,000 ordinary shares to $24,828,000 comprising 248,280,000 ordinary shares. Similarly, the net tangible assets per share of the Group as at 30 June 2005 will be adjusted from 35.95 cents to 39.56 cents after the Placement.

After deducting estimated expenses of $0.65 million, the net proceeds from the Placement are estimated to stand at $19.75 million. Out of this balance, about $6.0 million will be used to fund expansion in the Group's various shipyards while another $8.0 million will be used for the purchase of new vessels. The rest of the proceeds will be reserved for working capital purposes.

ASL Marine is principally engaged in shipbuilding, shiprepair & shipchartering and other marine related services, catering to customers from Asia Pacific, South Asia, the Middle East and Europe. [+]

Radiance is a specialist providing electronics manufacturing services ("EMS") to customers who are OEMs or ODMs of products in the satellite communications and computer peripheral industries. Radiance provides Box Build and PCBA for Satellite Communications products such as Low Noise Block Converters (LNB) and Satellite Signal Distribution Equipment and accessories; and computer peripherals.

Radiance manufacturing facilities are based in low cost PRC, which improves its competitive pricing. The company's manufacturing activities are presently carried out at our Shanghai and Shenzhen plants. The Shanghai plant assembles satellite communications products and computer peripherals for export sales outside of PRC.

As at 30 June 2004, Radiance have a total production area of approximately 17,000 sq metres and is equipped with 14 Final Assembly lines and sixteen (16) SMT lines, with a production capacity of approximately 4.6 million placements per day.

As a quality testament, Radiance's plant in Shanghai, PRC has been awarded ISO 9002 and QS 9000 certification and enjoys good rapport with the local authority. They have also been awarded a Class A rating under the Customs Management Program by the Shanghai Customs Authority for their excellence in the customs compliance efforts. Radiance Shanghai was also awarded the High Technology Enterprise Award in 2001. This award is valid for two years.

To tap on the lower costs of land and labour and to broaden its customer base, Radiance has set up a new manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, PRC to target customers in the computer peripherals industry.
